Review of IIT Mandi - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: IIT Mandi has had very good placement records for many years. As IT is considered as a reputed brand among the institutes of India, placement has to be good every year. More than 90% of the students got placed in top companies with some good amount of salary. An internship opportunity is given to every student by which one can learn many things.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent, and the campus is huge. All the facilities are good on our campus. The library is best in every term of books, capacity, etc. Quality of the facilities in our hostel is also good along with a good mess and canteen facility.

Perfect blend of Multidisciplinary studies + Extracurricular.
Placements: Around 70% placements in Mechanical engineering. The highest salary offered by HPCL (16.7 LPA) and recruitments by ISRO (Gazetted A group). The lowest offered is 5.1 LPA by LnT. Average is around 7 LPA. Top recruiters for Mechanical engineering: HPCL ISRO LnT Construction LnT Mumbai Capgemini Top Roles Offered: Management Executive Engineer Analyst.
Infrastructure: Facilities: Unlimited Wi-Fi Library (24X7 during exams) Smart Classrooms with projectors etc. Many Labs to focus on practical aspects. For Mechanical engineering, Labs are: PC Labs (For 3D Modeling, FEM, CFD etc. ) Design Lab Thermo-Fluids Lab Mechanical Workshop Hostel Facilities: Unlimited power, Wi-Fi Geyser, Induction Stoves Washing and drying machines Playground Sports Equipments for both indoor and outdoor games Sports coached too TV/LCD Dedicated Medical Unit and Doctors Grocery Shop Canteens with basic expected things Cafe Fair Mess food quality Newspaper, magazines etc. Appropriate security with one permanent security guard in each building.

Remarks
There are only positive remarks I could think of: highly skilled profs, good infrastructure, variety in courses offered, it's location, tremendous amount of extra curricular activities available, all types of sports, clubs for different activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for each sem is around 1, 35, 000 including the tuition fee, mess fee, hostel fee, medical fee, transportation fee, etc. I don't think it's that expensive. Well the figure I told was for general boys whose family income is more than 5 lacs per annum below that we have to pay one-third of it and if it is below 1 lacs per annum we have to only pay hostel and mess fees. For OBCs, SCs and STs and all the girls the tuition fee is 0.
Placement Wing
Placement and job opportunities are really good here. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, TCS, Goldman etc. come every year to provide jobs. The average package of a student graduating from IIT Mandi is around 15 lacs per annum. Yes, my college provides internship opportunities in the field of research, data science, machine learning and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is really good. As it is a new IIT all hostels are almost new. We have a study room on each floor of the hostel which has almost 10 rooms. Since it is very cold in winter we have heaters available in the study room. Projectors are also available in each study room. Along with that we have a common room which has a led and a TT table for entertainment.
Alumni
Obviously the alumni network is really helpful for getting a job. They can recommend you in there company for employment. The alumnis try to come to the campus almost every sem to guide the students. Other than this our seniors also help us by giving us the brief idea what we actually have to do.
Faculty
Some faculties of my college graduated from foreign universities and some from old iits. They are highly skilled and have a good amount of research experience. They inspire the students in the field of research.
Campus Life
Well we have a gender ratio of 1:4. Talking about the sports we have a hockey ground, football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, TT court, basketball court, tennis court and what not. We have many labs for electrical engineering students and mechanical engineering students which the students can use for any research or for any academic work.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well in my opinion the course curriculum in this college is fantastic. You can choose over the list of courses provided, which course you want to do in this semester and which course you want to postpone for the rest of semesters. We have 2 quizzes and 1 end semester exams in each sem.

Remarks
International exposures were good. There were some exchange program for students to study their 1 semester outside the countries that have MoU signed by our college. German language has been taught to ur students as most of the MoU's are wth german universities.

Entrance Preview
Students are admitted to undergraduate courses (four-year Bachelor of Technology) through an All-India entrance known as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by all the seven IIT's along with IT-BHU and ISM-Dhanbad, at various centres across the country in which more than 4,72,000 candidates compete for around 8,295 seats.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Its affordable.IIT Mandi comes under MHRD department of our country and hence the education is subsidized for the most part. The students need to pay around 1,60,000 INR per year to cover their whole expense here, hostels and mess expenses included.
Placement Wing
The Placement Scenario at Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Mandi is quite good for CSE students, but it's very bad for EE and ME students. Almost all the CSE students got placed in the year 2015. Same is the scene with Internship. Many known companies, such as Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft visit the campus for CSE students (Internship and Placement), but very few core EE and ME companies visit the campus. Key companies that hire from our campus for the role of SDE/SDET include Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, Drishti-Soft, Samsung Research, Practo, Grofers. Average Salary (per year) for CSE: Rs 11 lakhs per annum, ME : Rs 7 lakhs per annum, EE: Rs 7 lakhs per annum. Highest Salary for CSE: Rs 27.4 lakhs per annum (India). Percentage of CSE batch that got places: 98%
Hostel Facilities
Each hostel has got a common room with almost every facility one can think of, TT tables, microwave, TV, etc. Currently more than 10 hostels are being used for the accommodation with 2 messes functioning. Hostels being built with updated technology and most luxurious facilities are one of the best parts of the campus. Food is quite decent with a daily diet costing only INR 98.
Alumni
It's too early to talk about our alumni network as ours is a new college, but whatever seniors we have, have marked their presence in almost every big firm and university when it comes to research and related fields.
Faculty
The faculty is quite good. They are very encouraging, along with that, they offer guidance and knowledge on various aspects. For teaching, they take us on various on-field operations. So that we can learn big. We often visited industries and. Teachers give notes on various concepts and along with it, they show some knowledgeable videos by which we can learn easily and big.
Campus Life
IIT Mandi has got all kinds of clubs and societies be it technical or cultural. Just to name a few Website and Networks Group, Robotics Club, Energy Club on technical side, Dramatics Section, Music club, Dance section on cultural side and Photography and Art Geeks club and Literary Section, students get all kind of exposure they can think of in the field they are interested in.
Exam Structure
Exams and laboratory works are structured very well and there exists two semesters per year , in between there are mids and labs are very frequently conducted classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well thought and faculty concentrates much on practical learning.there are many industrial visits during the course which makes students to know the work experience and their knowledge would increase.
Internships Opportunities
For CSE, students may get internships and jobs very easily with companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon with stipends and also provide PPO if you were very brilliant during the internship.
