CTET Eligibility 2020

  • Candidates should pass 10+2 with minimum 45 per cent aggregate marks in order to be qualified for appointment as a primary stage teacher
  • Candidates should clear graduation with minimum 45 per cent aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in order to be qualified for appointment as an elementary stage teacher
  • Candidates should complete the prescribed teacher training programmes/teacher education courses

Notification

23-Jan-2020

CTET 2020 notification was released by CBSE on the official website of the exam on January 23.  

Application forms

24-Jan-2020 to 09-Mar-2020

CTET 2020 application form was released on January 24. Earlier, the last date to apply online was February 24. Later, the application date was extended till March 2. After that, the deadline was extended again to March 9.

Application fee

24-Jan-2020 to 17-Mar-2020

Registered candidates can pay the CTET application fee by March 17 till 3:30 PM.

Final verification of payment of fee by the candidates

24-Jan-2020 to 18-Mar-2020

Candidates can verify the status of their application fee submission by March 18. 

Application form correction window

19-Mar-2020 to 26-Mar-2020

Candidates will be able to make corrections in their CTET application form (if required) from March 19-26.

Admit card

Third week of June

CTET admit card 2020 will be released on the official website tentatively in the third week of June.

CTET exam

05-Jul-2020

CTET 2020 exam will be conducted by CBSE on July 5. The exam will be conducted in two shifts - 9.30 AM-12:00 Noon for paper-I and 2.00-4:30 PM for paper-II.

The official provisional CTET answer key will be released tentatively in July. 

Final answer key

August 2020

The CTET final answer key 2020 will be released tentatively in August. 

Result

August 2020

CTET result 2020 will be released by CBSE within six weeks of the conduct of the test. Candidates can access their result online from the official website by logging with their required credentials.

 

There is no age limit to take the CTET exam.
