Law is a non-static, ever-growing subject. It grows with the growth of the society in keeping with the societal needs and aspirations. It aims at prescribing rights and seeks to protect them by prescribing duties, the breach of which entails liabilities through sanctions, civil and criminal. This envisages a system of administration of justice mainly through the institution of Judiciary. Then there is the question of running the state by distribution of powers among the legislatures, the executive and the Judiciary. All this has to be carried out within the precincts of the constitution that forms the basic law of nation. Thus,a complex phenomenon.Law permeates every aspect of human life be it education, employment, labour, business, property, matrimony, family issues, taxation, election, litigation so on and so forth. This makes it imperatively essential for everyone to have knowledge of laws of the country, particularly when ignorance of law is not an excuse.
