Law School Admission Test (LSAT) - India is an entrance exam conducted by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. The test is conducted to shortlist law aspirants for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate level courses offered at more than 85 law colleges in India.
What's New?
Due to COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown across the country, LSAC Global has decided to conduct LSAT India 2020 as an online mode. The candidates who have registered for LSAT India 2020 will be able to take the online exam from their home itself. LSAC will conduct the examination through a remote online test delivery system for which the link will be shared with the registered candidates only. Therefore, candidates need to have a working system/ laptop and a proper internet connection to take the examination.

For appearing in the law entrance exam, LSAC has not mentioned any specific eligibility criteria however, candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria for UG and PG law courses offered at the accepting law colleges as under: 



Eligibility Criteria

Five-year integrated LLB course

Candidates passed in class 12th or equivalent

Three-year LLB course

Candidates holding a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university/ college

Master of Laws

Candidates holding a degree in law i.e. LLB degree from a recognised university/ college

LSAC has announced the dates for LSAT India 2020 on November 28, 2019, and the exam related events will be as under:





Starting of LSAT India online registration


LSAC has started accepting the online application forms for LSAT India 2020 on website.

Availability of LSAT India 2020 application form


LSAT India 2020 application process was affected by technical glitches and candidates were not able to obtain the online application form. However, the LSAC Global council has corrected the issue. 

Last date to apply


Candidates can now fill and submit the application forms in all respect including fee payment before the extended last date of application, earlier it was available till 14-Apr-2020. 

Availability of admit card

To be announced

Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can download the admit card for LSAT India. 

LSAT India 2020 exam date


LSAC will now conduct LSAT India 2020 on the revised exam date in more than 23 test cities across India in pen-paper based test mode. 

Results announcements

Last week of June 2020

The results will be announced on the official website and candidates can log in with their email ID and password to download scorecards.
